North Carolina Engagement Photos by the Water


There’s something about the just-engaged season that feels a little different from everything that comes after it. Before the timelines, venues, and planning decisions take over, there’s this really sweet window where you’re simply getting used to the idea that you’re getting married.


That’s what I wanted Lakyn and Peyton’s session to hold onto. Not just what they looked like that evening, but the feeling of being in that in-between season together.

Photos That Hold Onto This Season


Engagement photos are such a small part of wedding planning, but they end up documenting a version of your relationship that only exists for a little while.


Years from now, the details of the planning process may blur together, but having photos from this season gives you something tangible to come back to.


The way you looked at each other before the wedding day arrived. The excitement of what was ahead. The ordinary little closeness that made this chapter yours.


That’s what I want an engagement gallery to feel like: not just beautiful photos, but a record of who you were together right before everything changed.
